Professional
trainer and instructor since 1986, moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 1997 offering services to clients in different
barns locally and out of town, as well as competing and coaching in the Southeast.
Growing
up in Bolivia, South America, Carlos was a member of the Bolivian national team for the Pan American games and held numerous
national championships. Carlos successfully taught and competed first in Texas, then North Carolina and the East coast.
He has
built a good reputation and many good friendships and was recognized with the Sportsmanship Award in 2004 by the NCHJA (North
Carolina Hunter Jumper Association) and also by the Sedgefield Show Circuit.
He received
the NCHJA Horseman of the Year Award in 2005 and again in 2006. He served on the NCHJA Board of Directors as chairman
of the NCHJA Jumper committee for 2 consecutive terms from 2004 to 2008.
He was
also the NCHJA Professional elected for the USHJA Affiliate Awards in 2006.
